internet is down in pakistan. According to information released on Friday, there is a “problem in data networks between South and North” that is affecting Pakistan’s internet services nationwide.

Reason:

Due to fault in submarine cables, people in different parts of the country faced slow internet speed on social media platforms. The people witnessed disruption while using Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and other websites that was later confirmed by the authorities.

 

Average internet speeds have decreased globally as individuals have camped out to stop the coronavirus’s spread. The volume of traffic is overwhelming certain Internet providers. And outdated internet hardware can become a speed impediment.

 

Affects:

As in the start of pandemic (COVID 19) most of the people started their work from home. Slow internet access is an issue for home employee and major issue for remote workers who rely on steady internet access to work from home successfully.

A poor Internet connection can disrupt everyday work tasks. It causes delays with email communications or cloud-based telephone services, software apps, conferencing, and collaboration tools

The report cites internet addiction, reduced interaction, time wastage, excessive social media use, and sadness as negative consequences. The report advises students to use the internet cautiously, acknowledging its significance in today’s world.
